WHAT MAKES THIS APP DIFFERENT?

A list of potential disorders is provided for consideration after inputting all abnormal findings.  Some of these disorders may have not been considered in the initial differential diagnosis.  Incorporating these suggestions with the patients' history along with your clinical training and judgement, may guide potential orders or help in making a diagnosis that would have otherwise been missed.

HOW DO I USE THE APP?

Look at each lead of the EKG in question with regards to each element that the app asks about.  If an abnormality is found, touch the appropriate button and scroll down to the next section.  With regards to elements where measurements are specified such as PR interval, QRS width, etc., use the measurements assigned to the EKG grid paper or your best judgement.  If something appears abnormal, select the appropriate button.  Do not include PAC's and PVC's during your evaluation.  The final list of 10-11 disorders will be ordered from most to least likely, however, the patients' history and sound clinical judgement should always be utilized when considering the likelihood of each.  There is no guarantee of accuracy.
